Outdoor Divas Demo Day


Ski like a girl . . . and find your true love!

The Outdoor Divas visits Loveland for a women's specific demo day. This is your chance to come and try all the latest women's ski equipment before you buy it. To RSVP, contact events@outdoordivas.com, or stop by one of the Outdoor Divas locations There is no cost to participate, although a driver's license and credit card are required for deposit as is a valid lift ticket.

Brands that will be available for demo include Kastle, Rossignol, K2, Icelantic, Volkl, Blizzard, Nordica, and Dynastar. Please contact Outdoor Divas for specific model information.

Ski With a Ranger Day - Midweek

 

The US Forest Service and Loveland Ski Area team up to host Ski with a Ranger Day!  Join a Forest Service Snow Ranger for a fun, free, and easy run centered around the relationships between Loveland and the land we all enjoy so much.  Topics include glacial geology, winter ecology, local history, and partnerships and are suited for all ages (recommended for ages 8+).  Simply meet at Ptarmigan Roost Cabin at the top of Chair 2 at 1:30pm for a run with the Snow Ranger (plan to get there 15 minutes early.

The Ski With a Ranger Program takes place twice a month; every second Wednesday and last Saturday of each month until the end of the season. Other Ski With a Ranger Dates include April 26th.  Make plans to join us and learn more about the great world in which we live!

Ski Patrol Try-Outs

 

We are holding two ski tryouts in April 2014 - Saturday April 12th and Sunday April 13th. We are looking for expert alpine and telemark skiers and snowboarders who like helping others, enjoying the camaraderie of our volunteer organization, and of course like to ski or ride.

Meet at 8am in the Loveland Basin Lodge. Lift tickets will be provided. Cost is $5 and you must sign a liability waiver to participate. Contact Bruce Bacon at 1stassistant@lovelandskipatrol.com to sign up or for more information.

Easter Egg Hunt

 

Join us on Easter for a Spring Skiing Easter Egg Hunt!  Gather at the Basin area for first chair at 8:30am and keep your eyes peeled for the giant hidden Easter eggs as you ski down the slopes, browse the Sport Shop, and wander the base area.  Tons of goodies are hidden in the eggs, so good luck and have great day on the slopes!

Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party

 
Loveland Ski Area is excited to host the 13th annual Corn Harvest benefit ski party for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.  The Colorado Avalanche Information Center plays a much bigger role in your skiing safety than you might think.  Not only is this organization an invaluable source for backcountry travelers, but anyone who has driven on I-70 have the CIAC to thank in part for their safe travels along this highway. Come show your support for this amazing organization. 

Meet in the Basin Lodge the morning of to register.  Packages that include lift ticket, lunch, New Belgium Beer, raffle, and donation will be available.  Stay tuned for package pricing information.  Meet up with Loveland locals as they show some of the secret stashes and best parts of the mountain.  The BBQ lunch kicks off at 11:30am so you can refuel for the afternoon.  Live music begins on the Basin Patio at 2:30pm as the New Belgium Beer begins to flow!  The Corn Harvest raffle, which starts at 3:30, is not to be missed as sponsors throw down big with these prizes, so make sure you stock up on extra raffle tickets! 

  A great Day of skiing all for a good cause.

Join us on the patio of Loveland Basin on Saturday, April 27th for après ski with live music from Rapid Grass.  Resident musician Mark Morris returns with his bluegrass band Rapid Grass.  The founders and headliners of the Clear Creek Rapid Grass Music Festival join us on the Basin Patio in support of the Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party.
