National Safety Awareness Week is an annual event highlighting resort safety education efforts while increasing slope safety. Join us for Ski Patrol demos, sun safety tips, terrain park safety, and helmet information.  More details to come.

Neptune Mountaineering Joins us to kick off safety week with avalanche awareness and safety information.  Pieps will be on hand to discuss the proper use of beacons and lead some training on usage with the Loveland Ski Patrol. 

Bent Gate Mountaineering visits Loveland to host a demo day with their line of Telemark and AT gear. Pre-register with Bent Gate to receive a discount lift ticket and lunch package. There is no cost to participate, although a drivers license and credit card are required for deposit as is a valid lift ticket.

BBR is a ski like no other ski ever made. An oversized, surfboard like tip and rocker shape enable the ski to float in powder and adapt to uneven terrain smoothly and predictably. BBR's narrow waist and pintail, its short radius and short effective edge on-piste provide great grip and playfulness on harder snow. What Salomon calls the "V" shape, is literally 2 skis in one. Historically, skis have been mostly designed around a classic X-shape concept. The new V-shape is characterized by a surf board shaped tip , a narrow waist and a pin tail. The overall result is versatile performance that must be experienced to be believed. And now you can at Loveland ski area for free! Salomon will be set up in the front of the Basin parking lot and demo hours are 9am - 3pm. Although there is no cost to participate, a valid lift ticket, driver's license and Credit card for deposit are required.

Loveland hosts a free Family Race Day! The race will be open to skiers and snowboards of all ages and abilities. Come out and race each other for bragging rights and race medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest time in many different age categories. The race is free and open to everyone although a valid lift ticket and signed waiver are required. Simply sign up at the base of the Basin at the Loveland tent the morning of and take your timed runs any time between 10am and 2pm on Firecut off Chair 2. Medals will be given out at 3pm at the base of the Basin at the Loveland Tent.
