Outdoor Divas Women's Demo Day


Ski like a girl . . . and find your true love!

The Outdoor Divas visits Loveland for a women's specific demo day. This is your chance to come and try all the latest women's ski equipment before you buy it. RSVP here, or stop by one of the Outdoor Divas locations There is no cost to participate, although a driver's license and credit card are required for deposit as is a valid lift ticket.

Brands that will be available for demo include Kastle, Rossignol, K2, Icelantic, Volkl, Blizzard, Nordica, and Dynastar. Please contact Outdoor Divas for specific model information.

Live Music featuring Local Folk


Join us in the Rathskeller Bar at the base of the Basin starting at 2:30pm for apres ski with live music from Local Folk. Local Folk is a collective string band comprised of players from the Summit County area high in Colorado. The band features an up-tempo mountain grass party playing a fresh mixture of bluegrass, old-time, western swing and fiddle tunes.

Children's Valley Entertainment - Jules the Facepainter


While skiing at The Valley on Saturday, March 7th, keep an eye out for Jules the Facepainter!  Jules can paint just about anything you can image and is sure to brighten up anyones day!  There is no cost to participate, just come with a good idea or choose one of the hundreds of designs she has to offer!

Ski Patrol Try-Outs

 

We are holding Ski Patrol tryouts this February 1st, as well as serveral in March. We are looking for expert alpine and telemark skiers and snowboarders who like helping others, enjoying the camaraderie of our volunteer organization, and of course like to ski or ride.

Ski With a Ranger Day - Midweek

The US Forest Service and Loveland Ski Area team up to host Loveland's Ski with a Ranger Day!  Join a Forest Service Snow Ranger for a fun, free, and easy run centered around the relationships between Loveland and the land we all enjoy so much.  Topics include glacial geology, winter ecology, local history, and partnerships and are suited for all ages (recommended for ages 8+).  Simply meet at Ptarmigan Roost Cabin at the top of Chair 2 at 1:30pm for a run with the Snow Ranger (plan to get there 15 minutes early.

The Ski With a Ranger Program will be taking place once a month until the end of the season. Other Ski With a Ranger Dates include March 28th, April 8th & 25th.  Make plans to join us and learn more about the great world in which we live!

Bottom Dollar, hailing from Austin, TX,  is cutting a new path in contemporary bluegrass music. Entertaining audiences of all ages since 2011 they are earning a reputation for fusing old time instrumentals with contemporary bluegrass and beyond!

Larry Myer is an energetic singer, songwriter and acoustic performer, and is no stranger to Loveland!  He has played more than 200 towns in his homestate of Iowa and more than half the states of America, working his way up from a busking street performer to concert venues around the country.

Chain Station is a 4-piece, high-energy, get ‘em out on the dance floor stringband from the Front Range of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. They’ve become known for catchy and lyrically-poignant original songs which flow from the mountains, through them and right back to you! Pure Mountain Music!

Chill Fundraiser


The Mission of The CHILL Foundation is to provide opportunities to at-risk and underserved youth to build self-esteem and life skills through board sports.  Join us for the 1st Annual CHILL Denver Shred-Fest on Saturday, March 21st, from 9:00am - 3:00pm is your chance to connect with snowboarders and skiers from the greater Denver area who will be riding for CHILL.

The Shred-Fest is an awesome day of riding together and hanging out at Loveland Ski Resort. All money raised will directly benefit the Denver CHILL program.

New Belgium Brewing Scavenger Hunt

 

New Belgium Brewing and Loveland Ski Area team up to bring back what has easily become one of Loveland's most popular events, the New Belgium Brewing Scavenger Hunt!  Start by building your team of up to 4 people, give yourselves a unique team name, and pick out some creative costumes for bonus points!  Register the morning of starting at 9am on the patio at the base of Loveland Basin for only $10 with all proceeds benefiting local non-profit organization Alliance for a Sustainable Colorado.  Once your team receives your clue sheet, spend the day chasing chickens, searching for bigfoot and answering some ridiculous riddles all while enjoying a great day skiing and riding on the slopes of Loveland.  Clue sheets are due back to Scavenger Hunt Headquarters at the base at 3pm prompt, so don't be late and risk losing points!   Prizes will be awarded for the most points earned and everyone over 21 gets to enjoy delicious New Belgium Beer at the Apres party complete with Live Music!
