Have you ever wanted to ski, hangout and eat lunch with some of the best skiers in the world?  Saturday, April 5th is your chance!  The Orage Pro's & Powder Tour stops at Loveland Ski Area.  Ski and hangout with the likes of Craig Coker, Banks Gilberti, Mike Nick and X Games Gold Medalist TJ Schiller. This event is free with a valid lift ticket.  Orage will be giving out hotdogs and fresh new Orage gear.  Afterwards, hang out with the Orage crew for an autograph session and some fun après-ski action.

This popular program is offered to all abilities on select dates throughout the season.  Participants are divided accordingly based on skill and quality telemark gear can be rented at The Loveland Adventure Center if needed.  Program includes: 2 ½ Hour Clinic and Full Day Lift Ticket. Ever wanted to be a volunteer Ski Patroller?  Now's your chance!  The Loveland Ski Patrol are holding volunteer tryouts for expert skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders on Saturday, April 5th, 2008.  Interested parties should meet in the upper section of the Loveland Basin Lodge at 8:00 a.m., ready to ski/ride.  For more information about the patrol and tryouts, check our website, www.lovelandskipatrol.com , especially the "frequently asked questions" section.

Loveland Ski Area and the Loveland Race Club host the 48th annual Loveland Derby, the oldest and largest alpine race in North America on April 12 & 13, 2008. Racers from across the country gather at the Loveland Valley for the last race of the season. Costumes,parties and great spring skiing complete this race. Fine tune your skills and explore Loveland's most challenging terrain with one of our professional, experienced instructors. Designed for advanced - expert skiers level 7 thru 9. Offered select Sundays throughout the season. Advanced reservations are required. Program registers at Loveland Basin Ski School KIOSK, located in the upstairs restaurant area, next to the deli. Check in between 8:30-9:30. Class starts at 10:00. Call 303-571-5580 x170 for reservations.

The Love Park is gearing up to Host the 5th Annual Vert Alert Terrain Park Competition again this March and April. Think you got the skills? Come out and show us what you've got in this amateur slopestyle competition. The park is undergoing a makeover especially for these events and all ages and abilities are invited to participate. A $20 registration fee gets you into the comp, lunch from Wahoo's Fish Taco and Mountain Dew, and an event t-shirt; not to mention the chance to win some of the $10,000 in prizes.

Loveland Ski Area hosts the 6th annual Corn Harvest benefit ski party for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.  Meet and ski with some of the folks from CAIC, and show your support by letting them know the Colorado backcountry community appreciates their efforts to help us stay safe.   It's more than a benefit, it's a darn good time with old friends and new at Loveland Ski Area. Hawaiian shirts are encouraged (we'll get you lei'd).  Your $30 registration includes lunch, raffle, live music from Oakhurst plus a couple of beers at the deck party at the end of the day.   $60 includes a lift ticket!

Join us as we celebrate the end of another amazing season of skiing and riding here at Loveland Ski Area.  The Smith Limo will be joining us for the day with open sessions and an end of the season rail jam.  Also, local singer songwriter Arnie J.
